About Visual Metaphors Here goes for an introduction to who I am, and how my adventures have lead me to publish 'Visual Metaphors'. My name is Jessica Kane. I am the creator, writer and photographer of the Visual Metaphors Package. I have been a teacher/counsellor for 10 years, and during this time have travelled extensively through a plethora of exotic locations around the globe. My training as an educator and school guidance counsellor has given me the opportunity to work in a variety of countries such as Australia, Canada and England. During this time I have gained an extensive knowledge of effective counselling, management and educational practices associated with children and adults. My practices include teaching, counselling (children and adults) and facilitating professional workshops. Adventure based outdoor activities such as snow boarding, rock-climbing, hiking, surfing, sailing, sea kayaking and canoeing helped mould a personality characterized by independence, determination and tenacity. My ability to combine photography with knowledge of human psychology and educational curriculums and outcomes have resulted in the publication of a visually stimulating therapeutic resource.
